ANote Music at CES 2020, Las Vegas

Written by ANote Music Press | Jan 20, 2020

There is only a handful of events that any innovative company would aspire to attend, and the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is certainly one of them. Together with 19 other fantastic startups from Luxembourg and the support of LuxFactory, ANote Music had the honor to start 2020 very promising, traveling to Las Vegas, US, in order to be proudly present to this prestigious tradeshow. Here below, we thought to give you a quick recap of this milestone event for our company:

Indeed, we welcomed the new year with excitement, throwing ourselves gracefully in the deep end, and taking part in the biggest consumer event in the world. Thanks to the support of LuxFactory, the ANote Music team got selected amongst 20 bright and inspiring startups to display at the Luxembourg Pavillon during CES in Las Vegas, showcasing Luxembourg’s strong startup ecosystem.

CES Unveiled

Upon the first day in Las Vegas, the ANote Music team jumped straight into action as we were exposing during CES Unveiled on Sunday 05 January 2020. This event allows only 160 brands to display directly to press, media and industry influencers. While the attendees were drawn mainly to physical objects and gadgets which look good on pictures for printed press or vlogs, we were overjoyed to see our platform and service drawing great attention from the attendees – especially from those who also have a passion for music.

One of the highlights was this interview (fully in French) for Radio France International with ANote Music’s Marketing & Business Development Strategist, Niels Hoorelbeke. We would like to thank RFI and Thomas Bourdeau for passing by at our booth during CES Unveiled.

The main event

Following and driving the rise of streaming among one of the most promising tech of 2020 we were all set up at our booth on #51063 in the Eureka Park at CES, located in the Sands Convention hall of the Venetian, from 06 till 10 January.  While we already had a pretty full agenda of meetings scheduled prior to arriving to Las Vegas, the booth generated even more visibility and interest in ANote Music than we initially imagined. Every single day new people had the chance to discover the platform and services offered by ANote Music, and we were very satisfied seeing some new and highly interesting contacts coming to visit our booth.

On Day Two of the main event, our CTO, Gregoire Mathonet represented ANote Music at an early pitch session at the MyGlobalVillage. This side event which was a collaborative effort by some of the French speaking regions (France, Luxembourg, Canada and Belgium) at CES 2020, attracted 123 different startups. ANote Music ended up being shortlisted to pitch again during the final round, and eventually climbed  in the top 14 startups-to-watch, while our Luxembourgish colleagues from Ibisa successfully took home the second place.

Specially for CES 2020, we soft-launched the “paper-money” version of our platform so that our visitors could test and discover the many features for trading music. The feedback we received was tremendous and we are happy to invite all people interested to go and test our platform straight away.

Partnership

At ANote Music we strongly believe in teamwork and we try to connect and ally with as many different players from the Music Industry as possible. In order to have some evergreen songs and groovy tunes playing at our booth, we partnered with BUOQ, who provided us with an innovative headset which in 1 quick hand move turns into a portable speaker. No need to say, but you already know where the party was happening, right?!

We wish to thank everyone who visited our booth during CES 2020. We look forward to keep all visitors and press who shown interest posted about ANote Music’s latest developments. If we can -cheesily- point out one learning from this gigantic event: what happens in Vegas, doesn’t always have to stay just in Vegas!
